So what's the deal?

Back in 1995 I read a Village Voice article called Pulling The Plug on the Tampon Industry. After reading that article I felt inspired to put together a Web site all about tampons and women's health. My philosophy is to present people with different facts and opinions so they can make their own decisions. iqoption

Here are Some Things to Think About:
Nearly all major brand tampons contain synthetic fibers.
* Studies have found that Rayon, the synthetic fiber contained in commercial tampons, creates an ideal environment for the growth of the Staphylococcus aureus bacteria, which causes Toxic Shock Syndrome.
* Major brand tampons are made of conventionally grown cotton which can be exposed to synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides and defoliants.
* Plastic tampon applicators from sewage outfalls are one of the most common forms of trash on beaches.
* In my opinion, Tampax and Playtex could care less about our health — they care more about our money. They keep raising the prices and lowering the number of tampons in a box.

So Now What?

Explore the site, read articles written by others, look at the alternatives and then make up your own mind. If you feel inspired, stop buying tampons from corporate giants and buy organically made products instead.
